I must admit, since the explosion in photography several years ago, everywhere I turn to nowadays there is a DSLR camera. As the joke goes amongst peers, “You all know which one is the newbie, the one that never stops clicking the shutter… Clak clak clak clak clak!” *whole group laughs*
Recently a friend passed me a Nikon F100, now for many of you who might not have heard of this camera, its an old school film SLR camera. It takes some getting used to, cause I’m probably too used to the Canon system. Thankfully, I had some experience from my friend, Joel’s D3 so it wasn’t before long that I started to understand the functions of the camera.
It still daunts me, film does. You never really know if you got the shot till you see the negatives and even so it takes much more skill to understand, compose and be careful with the shutter button as I’m limited by the number of pictures frames available to me.
I will start to publish some pictures from the F100 if they turn out well. For now, I need to start looking for a film scanner.
